No clicking between pages.Built a scroll-driven story site. As you scroll, the character's full arc plays out start to finish, like watching a film.
DField Lab is a creative microsite reading as a single character's journey · no classic page transitions, every section unique. The studio shipped the scroll-bound animation system, the per-section scenes, and the asset pipeline · NFT-tier visual polish in a Hungarian brand context where nothing else looked like it.

- Of-its-kind in HU agency context
A creative microsite without classic page transitions · the visitor follows one character's journey through it. NFT-site-level visuals, done in a way nobody else has tried in Hungary.
What shipped
What it does
- Continuous animated page transitions
- A single character's journey through the site
- Unique per section · no template
- NFT-tier visual polish
The problem
- Template sites get abandoned in five seconds
- Creative brands don't fit a template
- Same-looking pages kill the content marketing
Why it matters
- Visitors follow the whole story to the end
- A first-second 'wow'
- Nothing visually copyable by competitors
How it shipped
- 01 · BRIEF
Land the visual register before any layout.
Storyboarded the journey first · sections were chapters, not pages. A character anchors continuity; the visitor follows them rather than 'navigating'.
- 02 · BUILD
Scroll-bound scenes on Next.js.
Each chapter is a scene with its own motion vocabulary; transitions between them happen on scroll progress, not on route change. Asset pipeline is dimensioned around 60fps on commodity hardware.
- 03 · SHIP
Visitors finish the story.
Time-on-page numbers reflect the engagement · the brand owns a visual register no Hungarian competitor can replicate without rebuilding the engine.
Stack
Narrative
One character anchors the journey
Continuity device replaces the chrome a typical site uses (nav, breadcrumbs) · it's a story, not a sitemap.
Motion
Scroll-bound scenes, 60fps target
Each scene's motion is bound to scroll progress · no autoplay, no theatrical hero loops.
Pipeline
Asset pipeline sized for commodity hardware
WebP + manifest-driven preloads keep the LCP fast even with the heavier-than-usual scene assets.
Niche
NFT-tier polish in a marketing-site context
Visual register comes from the NFT-launch playbook · no other Hungarian agency had used it for a brand site this way at the time.
Case study
“We wanted something completely different from anything in our market, no boring page-after-page click-through. The studio built a site where you don't click at all: you just scroll, and a single character's story unfolds in front of you from start to finish, like watching a film. Two years later the brand still uses it. We never replaced it because no local studio came close.”
